BECOMING PART OF THE IMMOBILISE NOW! INSTALLER NETWORK

Thank you for your interest in joining the Immobilise Now! program.

The aim of the program is to reduce the incidence of older vehicles being stolen by juvenile thieves for transport, joy riding or the commission of another crime.  This type of theft accounts for 3 out of every 4 vehicles stolen in Australia.

The program centres around regular publicity campaigns developed and funded by the NMVTRC to raise motorists’ awareness of the:

• frequency and consequences of motor vehicle theft;
• vulnerability of older vehicles to theft; and
• effectiveness of electronic engine immobilisers as a theft prevention measure.

The publicity directs motorists who wish to avail themselves of an engine immobiliser at an affordable price to participating installers and provides a good basis for your own local advertising.

To join the program, please send the following documents to the NMVTRC:

1. the completed and signed application form;
2. a Certificate of Currency showing that you hold valid public liability insurance and its expiry date; and
3. a letter from an authorised supplier in support of your application.  

The NMVTRC will then prepare a formal agreement and forward it to you for signature.
