Operation Bounce Back

Operation Bounce Back is one of the NMVTRC's major public education campaigns aimed at promoting theft prevention tips and raising knowledge of vehicle theft in local communities. The program engages with local governments in order to highlight the risk of vehicle theft in high theft areas across Australia. Operation Bounce Back also incorporates an immobiliser give-away offer, with each municipality receiving a number of vouchers to distribute to victims of theft and owners of high-risk vehicles. These installations are carried out by Immobilise Now! installers in the locality of each local Council.

Operation Bounce Back focuses on non-CBD local government areas that have the highest theft levels for older cars in each state and territory. Grants consist of $35,000 each - $20,000 worth of immobiliser installations, $10,000 direct funding, and $5,000 worth of NMVTRC public education resources. The program aims to develop and strengthen partnerships within local communities to allow organisations to work together to address the problem of vehicle theft.
